Landscape Sketch & Paint Short Course

We will go out into nearby ancient apple orchard and fields with oast views to sketch & return to base for painting. 8 Places ONLY.

Morning Project: First session partly outdoors taking photos/sketches from nearby boatyard with delicious textures/colours of rusting metal, rotting wood, boats, water, skies. You will use this resource material, with guidance, to create a figurative painting and an abstract painting.

Tuition given on colour mixing and harmonising, composition, abstraction and moving from drawing into painting.

Afternoons: Still Life Project

If you're staying all day, you can apply the tuition to either boatyard/marshes or Still Life work.
