9 participants assembled on Sunday 20th January at Creek Creative Faversham for this day of creating expressive paintings using photos as a start point. We looked at Expressionists and contemporary landscape painters for inspiration.

Morning Project: First session partly outdoors taking photos/sketches from nearby boatyard with delicious textures/colours of rusting metal, rotting wood, boats, water, skies. You will use this resource material, with guidance, to create a figurative painting and an abstract painting.
Tuition given on colour mixing and harmonising, composition, abstraction and moving from drawing into painting.

Afternoons: Still Life Project

Focused drawing exercises, colour experiments and how to move from drawing into painting.
If you're staying all day, you can apply the tuition to either boatyard/marshes or Still Life work.
Fees: Series of 5 morning OR afternoon sessions: £90
Come all day for 5 Tuesdays : £165
